About the Blogger

On a whirlwind of change and something of a whim I came to Macon, Georgia, about four years ago for law school. I’ve had my ups and downs with this small town (though many of my friends would call this a city of reasonable proportion, it certainly does keep a small town feel about it), but in the end I’ve grown quite attached to it and am attempting to throw down some roots here.

With two law degrees and a variety of part time jobs spanning federal contract work, barista, and bartender, I suddenly find myself a jack of all trades as I grasp at the possibility of a full-time job. Anyone you know who’s just graduated from law school can certainly tell you the woes of the legal job market right now, but I’m keeping my chin up and Macon it work (don’t worry – that’s the first of many bad puns to come).

My mom instilled a deep love of food and cooking in me at a very young age. It’s my biggest passion and I get the most pleasure in life out of cooking for other people. It’s science and art all rolled into one tasty package. So now I’m letting the food keep my spirits up like it always has! Let’s see what happens, shall we?

As an update on this blogger’s wayward life, I am now currently employed in a full-time job that is both wonderful and time-consuming, doing very much what I want to do and being eternally grateful at having been given the chance to do it. While that aspect of my life may have stabilized for now, there is certainly still plenty of Cooking Up Happy to be done!
